Use category menus and automatic search
Each sidebar category expands or collapses independently. Expand all/Collapse all controls act on all categories. The current guide’s ancestors open automatically and other category choices are remembered by the browser when storage is available.
On mobile use Browse guides to show the navigation. Native category disclosure controls also work without JavaScript; search and the mobile toggle need scripts.
Search requests a read-only index from the live Grav page tree. Saved public article changes are included automatically—no Python command or index rebuild is required for normal editing. Drafts, hidden/access-controlled trees and the Typography demo are excluded. A packaged static index is only an emergency fallback if the live index request fails; new edits will need the live endpoint working.
If a guide is missing, check publication/visibility and its parent sections first. Clear Grav cache after structural/theme changes.
