Is Casefiles publicly reusable?

No. The supplied companion licence is private-use for the named HAK site.

Does it replace core files?

No. It uses native hooks. It cannot automatically undo an earlier unrelated core-file patch.

Why is there no right drawer for ordinary members?

It is shown only where an admin menu is actually present.

Do settings survive a theme XML update?

The addon stores its options separately. Export customised theme content before replacing XML; separate option persistence does not preserve overwritten custom theme regions.
