Create download categories
Where: Admin → Downloads → Download categories
Before you start
Download categories are separate from forum discussion categories. The former files a resource; the latter creates its linked discussion topic.
Step by step
- Add a name, description and icon.
- Save, then select the category when submitting a resource.
- Move listings elsewhere before deleting their category.

Entry fields

| Icon name | A name the board draws, such as download, or a Font Awesome 6 class string such as fa-solid fa-comments. Initial default: download. |
| Icon image | Upload a picture to draw instead of the glyph. Leave it empty for the glyph. Initial default: empty. |
| Address | Enter the displayed text. |
Check the result
Create or edit a test resource and confirm the picker contains the saved choice.
Common questions and troubleshooting
Delete refused: move dependent resources first. Choice missing: confirm the record was saved and is offered/enabled.
