Publish a premium download without exposing its file

Before you start

Price, package-commercial metadata and purchase entitlement have different roles. Zero/missing price must not turn a commercial addon/theme into free distribution. A purchase return parameter is not payment confirmation.

Steps

1. Choose the actual addon/theme/product resource type, category and intended discovery areas.
2. Set price and Commercial/Premium status as appropriate. Keep commercial metadata in the package.
3. For an external sale enter Purchase URL. For native checkout ensure a supported provider is actually ready.
4. Attach the intended file, version/changelog and artwork. Submit and complete review.
5. Test the listing as a guest, a registered nonbuyer and a confirmed buyer. Also test the direct file URL without the buyer session.

Verify

Nonbuyers see Premium/purchase guidance and cannot fetch paid bytes. A confirmed authorised buyer follows the supported delivery path.

Troubleshooting

If premium content appears free, stop distribution and report the listing ID/package/core version. Do not “fix” it by deleting commercial metadata or merely hiding the visible button.
