Schedule mail, webhooks, feeds and backups through a hosting panel
Where: Panelica → Scheduled Tasks / Cron Jobs; corresponding Forovanta admin screen
Before you start
A panel scheduled task can run a CLI command without giving the customer an interactive SSH login. Paths must match the domain/account; do not substitute a guessed host /usr/bin PHP for Panelica’s isolated runtime. A browser URL pinger cannot invoke scripts that deliberately refuse HTTP execution.
Steps
- Open the relevant Forovanta screen and copy the exact command it prints for this installation.
- In Panelica create a scheduled task under the forum’s hosting account using its isolated domain PHP runtime.
- Choose the relevant interval: mail/webhooks commonly every five minutes; feed importer can run each minute while respecting each feed interval; choose an intentional backup schedule.
- Save and run/test the scheduled task through the panel where supported.
- Review queue counts, run logs and provider/destination results.
Verify
Queued messages/deliveries drain, feeds import on schedule and backups appear/verify at the expected time.
Troubleshooting
If the plan does not support scheduled commands, ask the host which scheduler facility it offers. Manual Send queue/Run now/Write backup can diagnose the feature, but do not imply automatic scheduling.
