Allow guest voting or restrict polls to members
Where: Pollooza → Manage, then the individual poll
Steps
- As administrator decide whether guest voting may be offered globally.
- On a new poll enable guest voting only if appropriate and the global control permits it.
- For member-only polls leave guest voting off.
- Test in a fresh signed-out browser and an ordinary member account.
- If allowing revotes, cast then replace a ballot and compare totals.
Check the result
Global permission is a ceiling; it does not silently enable guests on every poll. Guest identity is browser-based.
If it does not work
Guest allowance does not override private topic access or closed/hidden state. Guests can bypass cookie duplicate deterrence; do not describe this as one verified person per vote.
