Create automatic badges and grant manual awards
Where: Admin → Members → Rewards & support → Badges
Before you start
Automatic badges are earned when the configured metric reaches its threshold. A badge is an award/display item, not a category permission or paid subscription. Rechecking applies the current rules across existing members.
Step by step
- Add a badge name, description, tier, award metric and threshold.
- Choose automatic posts/topics/likes/reputation/account-age criteria, or manual staff award.
- Save and enable the badge. Use Re-check every member now after a criteria change.
- For a manual badge choose Badge and Member under Grant a badge, then Grant.
- Use Recent awards to inspect or revoke a mistaken award.

Check the result
Check the member’s profile and badge directory after a qualifying action or manual grant.
Common questions and troubleshooting
Badge never awarded: confirm Enabled, metric, threshold and schema upgrade. Need to remove an award: revoke the member’s award rather than deleting an unrelated badge.
