Install or upgrade an addon

  1. Download the correct vendor addon package.
  2. Open the ZIP: addon.json must be at its root, not inside an extra enclosing folder.
  3. Back up the forum and database.
  4. Open Admin → Add-ons → Upload / upgrade. Upload, review, and confirm installation or upgrade.
  5. Complete licence entry where required, then enable and configure the addon.
  6. Test it as administrator, ordinary member and guest when relevant.

Upgrade in place to preserve data. Do not uninstall first unless that addon’s documented migration explicitly requires it.
