Check the finished theme and roll back safely

Where: Forum public pages; Admin → Themes

Steps

1. Test guest and signed-in views, light/dark mode, narrow/mobile and wide desktop layouts.
2. Check header search/navigation, topic menus, chat settings popup where present, forms and dropdown text at 200% zoom.
3. Check selected logos, CTA text, long titles and addon-page layouts.
4. If a companion upgrade caused a problem, reinstall the previous same-key companion and retest.
5. If stock XML replaced theme edits, import the saved prior theme export; restore global footer values separately if changed.

Check the result

A theme package and its editor are separate rollback components. This documentation build does not certify the theme’s visual/runtime behaviour.

If it does not work

Keep the core, theme and companion versions plus the failing page/viewport. Compare with a stock theme to identify whether a core/addon layout hook is involved.
