Create and order member banners

Where: Admin → Members → Accounts → Group banners

Before you start

A banner belongs to a group; creating a banner creates that group. Display artwork does not itself grant category access. A primary group affects presentation; membership permissions remain additive. Remove picture returns the banner to its normal strip.

Step by step

  1. Choose New banner; enter its group name, label, colour, icon and display role.
  2. Save the banner first.
  3. Upload an optional Banner picture (PNG/JPEG/WebP/GIF up to 4 MB). A picture replaces the coloured strip.
  4. Set Show banner and Order, then save. Assign members through Groups & permissions.

Check the result

Check a member card and a topic byline in desktop/mobile views. Confirm text is readable and access is unchanged.

Common questions and troubleshooting

No banner: check group membership and Show banner. Wrong image: upload replaces the previous image; use Remove picture to clear it.
