Before you start

The editor upgrades a textarea with JavaScript and keeps its HTML in the submitted field. Without scripting, the textarea remains available. Formatting controls vary by the shipped editor; use a valid complete URL for links and avoid pasted scripts. Empty required content is refused.

Step by step

1. Select text before applying a formatting control.
2. Use the toolbar’s link/quote/list controls for structured content.
3. Use HTML when you need to inspect supported markup, then return to the visual view.
4. Preview the saved post; scripts/unsafe markup are filtered.
