Replace the forum terms of service
Where: Admin → Content → Pages & docs → Terms of service
Before you start
An empty terms field displays the board’s short placeholder terms, with a notice identifying them as defaults. Saving your own text replaces those defaults. This editor is plain text, not the custom-page rich text builder. Have the owner supply the actual policy appropriate to the community.
Step by step
- Read the current public terms at ?page=terms.
- Enter your community’s Terms text as plain text, separating paragraphs with blank lines.
- Save terms and revisit the public page.

Check the result
Confirm your text is public and the default placeholder notice is gone.
Common questions and troubleshooting
Formatting tags show literally: use paragraphs instead of HTML here. Old text remains: verify you saved Terms of service, not a custom page with a similar name.
