Install the style and its companion

Where: Admin → Themes, then Add-ons

Steps

1. Extract the complete download on your computer so the theme XML and native companion ZIP are separate.
2. Export the currently edited style and back up the database/files before replacing it.
3. For a fresh style import the matching PurpleZ XML through Themes; activate/allow it as intended.
4. Upload only the matching editor addon ZIP through Add-ons; its addon.json must be at the archive root.
5. Enable the editor. This companion is free and declares no commercial licence gate.
6. Open PurpleZ Settings, review the installed style and save.

Check the result

The theme supplies the appearance; the companion supplies its dedicated editor. Neither the complete outer download nor XML alone is a native addon ZIP.

If it does not work

If the editor says import the style first, confirm the expected style key exists. Check exact starter/core compatibility rather than bypassing a rejected version check.
