Preview configuration and apply presets carefully
Where: Tools → Configuration presets / Test configuration
Steps
- Record current settings before choosing a preset.
- Review the preset changes instead of treating its name as a security guarantee.
- Use the read-only configuration test with a test address/visitor context.
- Read which checks use local/cached data and which live-provider flows are not simulated.
- After any intentional apply, verify real ordinary visitor behaviour in Monitor first.
Check the result
A preview predicts the supported local policy checks without proving a real provider challenge or a complete request lifecycle.
If it does not work
The preview is not load testing or an installed MySQL/Redis acceptance test. Current counters can be conservative under Redis reservations.
