Settings reference

Open the addon’s Settings in Admin → Add-ons. Save changes before leaving. This table is generated from the supplied 1.0.1 manifest; its stored identifiers are included so support can identify a field precisely. Dedicated dashboard forms are documented separately.

Display

Items per page

Identifier: items_per_page. Type: number. Default: 24. Range: 6–96. Step: 6.

How many items one page of the gallery shows. The grid is responsive, so this is a ceiling rather than a fixed number of columns.

Grid columns on a wide screen

Identifier: grid_columns. Type: number. Default: 4. Range: 2–6. Step: 1.

The widest the grid is allowed to get. Narrower screens use fewer columns and still fill the row.

Show the category panel

Identifier: show_sidebar. Type: boolean. Default: On.

Uploading

Members can upload

Identifier: allow_member_media. Type: boolean. Default: On.

Turn this off to keep the gallery staff-only. Group permissions can narrow it further without turning it back on.

Members can create albums

Identifier: allow_member_albums. Type: boolean. Default: On.

A member's own album is theirs: they choose its privacy, its description and what goes in it.

Allow video and audio links

Identifier: allow_video_links. Type: boolean. Default: On.

A board without a transcoder still has a video hub: instead of an upload, a member gives an address to a video or audio file and it is filed as one.

Review member uploads

Identifier: require_approval. Type: boolean. Default: Off.

New items stay hidden until a moderator approves them. Staff uploads are never held.

Largest image (MB)

Identifier: max_upload_mb. Type: number. Default: 4. Range: 1–32. Step: 1.

The format is read from the file's own header, never from its name, so a renamed script is refused however it is labelled.

Privacy

New items are

Identifier: default_privacy. Type: select. Default: public.

What a member's own upload starts as. An album can still be closed to members or to its owner alone.

Choices: Public — anyone, signed in or not (public); Members — signed-in accounts only (members); Private — the owner and staff only (private).

Interaction

Allow comments

Identifier: allow_comments. Type: boolean. Default: On.

Comments on an item are the busiest half of a gallery. Turning this off leaves the images and their ratings.

Allow ratings

Identifier: allow_ratings. Type: boolean. Default: On.

A member may rate an item once, from one to five stars, and change their mind as often as they like.

Verify and recover

Change one group of settings at a time and test as the intended audience, including a signed-out window where relevant. Keep the previous values with your backup. If saving fails, retain the error and reload the current stored values before retrying; do not assume an unchecked field was committed.
