Enable placements and diagnose a missing banner

Where: Advertise → Administration

Placement availability is per page layout. An eligible campaign need not appear on every load when a pool rotates.

Steps

1. Enable forum placements in the addon administration. Confirm the addon itself is enabled and licensed.
2. Open the relevant placement and confirm its capacity, creative dimensions and targeting.
3. Create or choose an approved campaign which has started, has not expired and is paid where payment is required.
4. For an image campaign supply both desktop and mobile images with the configured exact dimensions.
5. Open the intended public route in a guest/private window. Check at a fresh mobile load as well as desktop.
6. If absent, inspect ad-free role/group exclusions, category/page targeting, device targeting and placement capacity before changing the theme.

Check the result

The banner appears in the intended location for an eligible visitor. Footer ads use the addon footer hook; they do not require a pasted custom-code snippet.

If it does not work

Check whether the page renders the shared addon hooks. A page without a right rail cannot demonstrate its sidebar slot. Ad blockers/CSP can affect rendering; verify with a clean browser profile and retain the browser error. A private window may still have extensions.
