Install or upgrade Sentinel safely

Where: Admin → Add-ons → Upload/upgrade

Steps

  1. Back up the board database and files and retain the exact current package.
  2. Upload the native Sentinel ZIP (addon.json at its root), review and complete installation/upgrade. Do not use the core updater or extract over core files.
  3. Enable with the native valid licence workflow.
  4. Open Sentinel protection settings, keep Monitor, and open its dashboard.
  5. Check Diagnostics for observed request-hook activity, then make a controlled ordinary public request and review events/counters.
  6. Set up the existing addon scheduler with the exact board command in Panelica. Keep Redis primary off until installed-service checks pass.

Check the result

The dashboard distinguishes Off, Recovery bypass, waiting for the hook, Monitor and Enforce. A heartbeat shows hook observation, not full integration correctness.

If it does not work

If the package is unavailable without a valid licence, obtain an authorised key/package. Do not edit licensing or request hooks to force it active.
