Identify the installed release and its changes
Where: Admin version pill, or Admin → System → Maintenance → Changelog
Before you start
The newest changelog heading and installed runtime version are different facts. A newer entry in a mismatched file does not prove those changes were applied. Keep the release notes with the actual archive/checksum.
Step by step
- Read the running version and the newest entry shipped in CHANGELOG.md.
- Find the release matching your installed build and read its fixes/limitations.
- Compare the package handoff when planning a baseline update.

Check the result
Confirm version, edition, archive and handoff refer to the same release.
Common questions and troubleshooting
No changelog: restore the matching release’s CHANGELOG.md rather than borrowing a newer one. Build differs: inspect Package Manager History and actual VERSION.
