Edit a style

Find the style in Admin → Appearance → Themes, open its edit action and use the style editor. Save a small change, reload a public page, and verify the intended style is active.

Change the default

Activate the chosen style in the theme manager. Test with a new/private session as well as your own account.

Test addons after a theme change

Check every placement the addon relies on. A theme lacking an expected anchor may omit that content. Include footer ads, category poll controls, mobile navigation and account menus in your review.

Roll back

Switch to the previously working style. If you need a full file/database restore, use the matching backup pair rather than mixing versions.
