Configure Marketplace listings and fees

Where: Admin → Marketplace → Marketplace settings

Before you start

This screen depends on the Marketplace addon. Its package declarations override the legacy core definitions, so compare the installed package’s settings before applying a value. A revenue-share setting is accounting policy, not proof a provider has paid a creator.

Step by step

  1. Install/enable the appropriate licensed Marketplace package before using its screens.
  2. Choose enabled state, listing kinds, official-listing publication and compatibility prompts.
  3. Set percentage or fixed-amount revenue share and its currency.
  4. Set Marketplace submission/review policy and seller terms; save and test a seller submission.

Settings and behaviour

This screen depends on the Marketplace addon. Its package declarations override the legacy core definitions, so compare the installed package’s settings before applying a value. A revenue-share setting is accounting policy, not proof a provider has paid a creator.

Legacy core reference: the installed owning package can replace these declarations. Compare its live screen.

Listings

What a listing may be, and whether the board publishes its own. Control What to enter / effect
Marketplace enabled Until it is on, its screens are reachable from this bar and its listings are invisible to members. Initial default: 0.
Show add-on / theme / product types Adds the listing-kind filter and badge to the Downloads area. With it off, every listing is treated as a plain download. Initial default: 1.
Publish official listings Publishes the free add-ons this build ships as official Resource listings, and keeps them in sync. Initial default: 1.
Ask for compatibility Shows the free-text compatibility line on a listing, e.g. "Forovanta 1.0.0, manifest v1". Initial default: 1.

Revenue share

How the community owner takes a share of a creator's sales. The owner does the payment processing, so this is set in the owner's own currency. Control What to enter / effect
Community revenue share Which of the two below applies. Choices: Percentage of each sale; Set amount per sale. Initial default: percent.
Share percentage (%) Used when the share mode is "Percentage of each sale". Initial default: 10.
Set amount per sale Used when the share mode is "Set amount per sale". Entered in the currency below. Initial default: 0.
Payout currency The owner's currency. Amounts above are read in this currency. Choices: US dollar (USD); Euro (EUR); Pound sterling (GBP); Canadian dollar (CAD); Australian dollar (AUD). Initial default: USD.

Marketplace submissions

Who may publish a listing to the Marketplace, and whether it waits for review. Kept separate from the Downloads area, so a board can let members post downloads freely while still reviewing marketplace listings. Control What to enter / effect
Who can publish Marketplace listings A group or an individual member can be given their own rule in Members → Submission permissions. Choices: Everyone; Registered members; Staff only. Initial default: member.
Require staff approval before a listing goes live Applies only to listings published to the Marketplace: unapproved Downloads follow the Downloads settings, and no new version follows the same rule. Initial default: 1.

Terms

Shown to a seller as they publish their first listing. Control What to enter / effect
Seller terms Initial default: empty.

Check the result

Check with a separate seller/buyer account and compare recorded state with the provider.

Common questions and troubleshooting

Screen absent: its owning package may be absent, disabled or unlicensed. The supplied starter archive does not include every commercial package. Fields differ: follow the installed package’s declaration; legacy core definitions are not proof of that package’s version.
