Configure the installable mobile web app
Where: Admin → System → Appearance → Mobile app (PWA)
Before you start
A PWA is an installed web experience, not a native app-store release. The manifest is published at manifest.php while enabled. Browser installation UI depends on browser/platform policy; enabling the switch does not guarantee an immediate popup.
Step by step
- Enable Publish a web app manifest.
- Set App name, Short name, Theme colour and Splash background.
- Upload a square PNG icon, 512×512 or larger. Save changes.
- Visit the public HTTPS site in a supported browser and use its Install/Add to home screen control.

Common questions and troubleshooting
No install prompt: check HTTPS, manifest enablement, icon and browser menu. Old icon: installed apps and browser caches may retain it; test a fresh installation.
